Yesterday, the prolific poet, Mary Oliver, turned 78. Even well into her golden years, Oliver continues to write wonderful and interesting poems. In fact, it seems (at least to me) that the past year and a half has seen her creating some of the most touching and important work of her career.
In celebration of her life, here is a story about her most recent collection, A Thousand Mornings, including three wonderful poems from that book.
