Single Review: I Will Never Let You Down by Rita Ora

UK artist Rita Ora is best known in the US for her club jam "How We Do (Party)"--perhaps better known as the "party and bullshit song" that rocked summer radio two years ago. In preparation for the launch of her sophomore record, Ora returns with another great warm-weather track. However, while "How We Do" mixed sexiness with jello-shot swagger, "I Will Never Let You Down" is about sticking by your man and it's a delicious slice of pop. The synth-heavy production is reminiscent of early Madonna, and Ora's rich, husky voice gives a bit of grit to the neo-80s aesthetic. The chorus tastes especially sweet and has just enough ear-worm qualities that Ora may feature prominently on this summer's playlists too.
